White or slightly yellow flaky material.
Appearance:
White or slightly yellow flaky material.
Properties:
This product is insoluble in water.
Purpose:
This lead salt transparent stabilizer is our company's first product in the industry and is suitable for PVC transparent products that do not require high transparency or strict hygiene requirements. Compared with organotin stabilizers, although they lack transparency, they are easy to process, odorless and cheap. It is an excellent choice to replace organic tin in PVC transparent products with less stringent requirements.
How to use:
The amount of resin added per 100 kilograms of different hard products is 2.5-5.0 kilograms.
The amount of resin added per 100 kilograms of different soft products is 0.5-1.5 kilograms.
Lead salt transparent stabilizer is a specialized PVC stabilizing additive designed for transparent and semi-transparent PVC products that do not require extremely high optical clarity or strict hygiene standards. It appears as a white or slightly yellow flaky material and is insoluble in water, ensuring stable performance during PVC processing.
As one of the earliest transparent stabilizers developed in the industry, this product has been widely adopted in cost-sensitive PVC manufacturing fields. It provides effective thermal stability and processing performance, making it a practical alternative to more expensive stabilizer systems.
The primary function of this stabilizer is to prevent thermal degradation of PVC during processing. It inhibits chain scission and discoloration caused by heat, allowing PVC products to maintain acceptable appearance and mechanical performance.
Compared with organotin stabilizers, lead salt transparent stabilizers:
Have lower cost
Are easier to process
Do not produce strong odors
Offer good long-term stability
Although transparency is slightly lower than organotin systems, this stabilizer is ideal for applications where optical clarity is not the highest priority.
This product is widely used in general-purpose transparent and semi-transparent PVC products, especially in industrial and construction sectors.
Common applications include:
Transparent PVC sheets and films
Semi-transparent rigid PVC panels
PVC packaging materials (non-food grade)
PVC tubes and hoses (non-medical)
PVC curtains and partitions
Decorative PVC products
Industrial protective covers
It is particularly suitable for PVC products without strict hygiene, food contact, or medical requirements.
The recommended dosage varies depending on the hardness of the PVC product.
For Rigid (Hard) PVC Products
Add 2.5–5.0 kg per 100 kg of PVC resin
Typical products:
Rigid transparent sheets
Hard PVC boards
Extruded profiles
For Flexible (Soft) PVC Products
Add 0.5–1.5 kg per 100 kg of PVC resin
Typical products:
Flexible films
Soft hoses
Transparent curtains
Actual dosage may be adjusted based on:
Processing temperature
Equipment type
Product thickness
Required thermal stability
Lead salt transparent stabilizer is a cost-effective, reliable, and easy-to-use solution for PVC heat stabilization. While it does not achieve the same level of transparency as organotin stabilizers, it provides excellent processing stability and economic advantages for non-critical transparent PVC applications.
For manufacturers seeking to reduce material costs while maintaining stable product quality, this stabilizer remains one of the most practical and widely adopted choices in the PVC industry.
